The cherry blossom region

There is hardly another place, where the Heaven and the Earth come so close together and the sky is bordered by cherry blossom clouds. In no other place elsewhere is freedom to breath so close. The places Donnerskirchen, Purbach and Breitenbrunn present themselves to the guest as the Cherry Blossom Region. The name was even registered in July 1999.

As far as the eye can see, this region is dotted with scenic and other beautiful natural views. The horizon merges with Lake Neusiedl and the mild climate enables long periods of vegetation. The region has a different dress at every season and becomes by its unmistakability an experience for each interested visitor.

In spring, the landscape is immersed in an almost endless sea of blossoms. At the beginning of spring, the Cherry Blossom Star hike to one of the five villages, gives you a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the region.

And then in June the "red temptation" is tempting. The fully ripe fruits laugh down from the more than 1,000 sweet cherry trees on public paths. The Breitenbrunn Cherry Market is the absolute highlight of the season in terms of cherry.
